Young scientists were awarded presidential grants for projects development in Ufa

On August 13, in Ufa, the Chief Federal Inspector for the Republic of Bashkortostan, Mikhail Zakomaldin, presented the young scientists — the winners of the competition — with certificates for receiving grants from the President of Russia. The press service of the Chief Federal Inspector for the Republic of Bashkortostan reports.

This year, eight scholars working in leading research institutes and classical universities of the region became grant holders. Their areas of research are agriculture, physics, astronomy, biology, mathematics, mechanics, philology.

Three grants have won the works of researchers from Ufa State Petroleum Technological University. Victor Malyshev presented a study at the intersection of physics and mathematics, which allows selecting the optimal conditions for the gas field development with economic benefits without losing gas condensate.

Angelina Chiglintseva, representing the same university, was working on the study of the most interesting energy source for the world community — gas hydrate.

Gulnara Raskildina, Candidate of Science, was engaged in the development of matrices for the creation of biologically active drugs of wide use — in medicine, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and industry.

Among scientists from the Ufa Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences was Bulat Kuluev. He dealt with the problem of breeding new, highly productive stress-resistant agricultural plants.

Philologist-linguist, Ph.D. Ruslan Saduov from Bashkir State University, won a grant due to his practical work on the study of the cultural and linguistic landscape of our multinational republic. He studied the linguistic appearance of the region, its verbal environment — signs, street advertising.

Marina Abramova, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the Ufa State Aviation Technical University, won with the work aimed at studying the effect of plastic deformation on the properties of corrosion-resistant steel used in aviation.

Grants from the President of the Russian Federation for state support of young scientists are allocated for two years to fund fundamental and applied scientific research. A total of 460 grants are allocated annually (400 for candidates of science and 60 for doctors of science). Candidates of science are given 600 thousand rubles a year, doctors — a million. This year, 1.6 thousand applications were submitted for the competition.
