The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation recognized Bashkiria as one of the best regions of the country in terms of maximum milk sales volumes.
According to the ministry, as of August 3, the daily volume of milk sales by agricultural organizations in the country amounted to 49.8 thousand tons. This is 5% or 2.4 thousand tons more than a year ago.

"Chekmagushevsky district is still the leader in milk production with a large margin — 38.5 thousand tons. The share of producers in this region in the republican dairy production exceeds 8 percent," said Almaz Galimov, spokesman for the Ministry of Agriculture RB.
In addition to the Chekmagushevsky district, the republic's "milk rating" includes five more districts — Dyurtyulinsky, Aurgazinsky, Sterlitamaksky, Ilishevsky, and Meleuzovsky, which together produce a third of all Bashkir milk.
