UFA, 23 October 2019. /Bashinform News Agency, Sergey Nikolaev/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
According to the data of JSC “Ufa International Airport”, the amount of subsidized interregional flights from the republican budget is planned to increase to 180 million rubles in 2020. It will support flights in eight directions. It relates to flights to Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Krasnodar, Orenburg, Volgograd, Mineralnye Vody, and Perm. The frequency of flights will range from 3 to 6 per week, the need for state support, depending on seasonal demand — from 5 to 12 months per year. The republic’s share in subsidies in five interregional directions will amount to 30.5% of the total allocated funds, and 61% in three.
This year 102 million rubles were allocated from the republican budget for subsidizing five interregional flights. According to this indicator, Bashkiria is significantly behind many regions of the country. So, the budget subsidies for interregional air transportation this year will amount to 510 million rubles in Tatarstan, 130 million in Perm region, 225 million in Rostov, 240 million rubles in Kaluga.
The state financial support for regional flights resulted in a significant increase in passenger traffic through the Ufa airport. If 104 thousand people took such flights in 2017, then in 2018 — 157 thousand people (an increase of + 57%). This year, the projected volume of interregional air transportation will be 260 thousand people (+ 65%), in 2020 — 295 thousand, and in 2021 — 330 thousand passengers.
Not all regional flights from Ufa require budget subsidies. Thus, daily flights to Kazan and Yekaterinburg are not included in the state support program, since these popular destinations have already reached commercial payback.
