The Presidential Grants Fund summed up the results of the second competition in 2019. Also, as in the first competition, in October the Volga Federal District took second place in the country in terms of the number of winners and the amount of funding allocated.
Every fourth participant from the Volga Federal District won: projects of 407 leaders from the Volga Region will receive 618.4 million rubles. Total, the non-profit organizations of the district submitted 1.7 thousand applications to the second competition.
The Republic of Bashkortostan is the leader in the number of winning projects among the regions of the Volga Federal District; 55 applications worth 63 million rubles received approval. The second place is in the Samara region (51 grants for 98 million rubles), the third in Udmurtia (37 grants for 49 million rubles).
“The leading position of the Volga Federal District is a vivid indicator of the fact that a competition of grants by the President of Russia is in demand in our regions. The number of winners from the Volga Federal District is growing — according to the results of the first competition in June of this year, 337 applications from our district received support from the Head of State, and in the second already by 20% more. The total amount increased by more than 100 million rubles, which will be used to implement projects of non-profit organizations in the Volga Region. This is a victory for all residents of the district, because the grants of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin are directed primarily to the development of socially significant projects that are designed to make the life of every citizen more interesting and comfortable, ”said Igor Komarov, Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation to the Volga Federal District.
Total, out of 9 thousand projects submitted for the competition in Russia, 2128 (23.4%) were recognized as winners; they received financing in the amount of 4.35 billion rubles.
