Ufa native Nazgul Ibragimova passed a qualifying round to the Academy of Young Opera Singers in Monte Carlo. Nazgul is the only representative of Bashkortostan in this project. Currently, the singer is in Monaco.
The Monte Carlo Academy enrolled young opera singers for the third time. As in previous years, students and graduates in the opera vocal class aged 18 to 30 years participated in the contest. In total, the selection committee, headed by the head of the Monte Carlo Opera, Jean Louis Grinda, received 129 applications. The commission members carefully watched and listened to all the video material, evaluating, first of all, the vocal parameters — timbre, technique, musical expressiveness of the performers. As a result, ten people from Russia were taken to the main team, including our countrywoman.
Nazgul Ibragimova is mezzo-soprano, laureate of republican competitions, 5th-year student of the State Institute of Arts in the class of Lyubov Butorina. In March 2019, she participated in the master class of Ildar Abdrazakov.
