Vladimir Putin will meet with regional leaders elected this year. The meeting will be attended by the head of Bashkortostan and another 18 senior officials of the constituent entities of Russia.
As reported by AiF-Moscow», on October 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with 19 new governors elected during the election on a single voting day. On September 8, 2019, elections of various levels were held in Russia. Among them there were elections to 13 legislative assemblies, to 22 city councils, as well as direct elections of governors, the report said. “Thus, Alexander Beglov was elected Governor of St. Petersburg, and Radiy Khabirov was elected Head of Bashkiria,” the newspaper reports.
TASS recalled that “Putin traditionally, after a single day voting, gathers the elected heads of the regions in the Kremlin. In 2018, he held such events twice — on September 18, when governors who won the first round came to meet with the president, and also on December 27, when the winners of the second round took part in the meeting. ” This year, the winners of all elections of the heads of regions were determined in the first round, the agency explains.
