UFA, 31 July 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.On July 31, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov visited Karmaskaly district during his working trip. The head of the region took part in a zonal seminar-meeting on the organization of crops harvesting "Field Day-2018" in the southern forest-steppe zone.
The head of the region recalled that the sowing campaign was quite difficult due to a cold spring, but that did not affect the harvest.
During the event, Rustem Khamitov held a roundtable devoted to the production and sale of agricultural products, as well as visited an exhibition of agricultural machinery of domestic and foreign production. Representatives of the Rostselmash group of companies demonstrated him samples of combine harvesters, tractors and other equipment also used in Bashkortostan. At the exposition, there was presented both already famous and popular in the republic equipment, as well as the newest models — for example, a tractor, the assembly of which was completely transferred to Russia from Canada.
Also, Rustem Khamitov inspected the equipment, which was used by "Artemida" breeding farm. As the director of the farm Evgeniy Pozhidaev noted, all machinery was produced in Russia; its main feature was "smart agriculture", which implied the accuracy and use of the latest technologies. Rustem Khamitov discussed with the farm management the company's economic indicators, as well as issues of increasing productivity and the need to introduce modern digital technologies into agricultural production. Bashkortostan agriculture will lag behind the world trends without them, the head of the republic stressed.
Rustem Khamitov examined demonstration crops of maize, sunflower, cereals and other crops. In particular, issues related to growing corn for grain and its "behavior" in the soil and climatic conditions of the republic, the peculiarities of sunflower hybrids and sale of grain crops seeds were discussed. After inspecting the experimental plots, Rustem Khamitov gave a symbolic start to harvesting.
