More than 988 thousand Bashkortostan inhabitants voted for choosing public areas for improvement


UFA, 20 March 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. More than 988 thousand inhabitants of Bashkiria participated in the rating vote on selection of public areas, which will be landscaped in the framework of the project "Comfortable Urban Environment Formation" in 2018-2019. This was reported by the press service of the republican government.

Residents of 24 settlements of the republic selected from 109 public spaces — parks, squares, alleys, pedestrian zones, embankments and streets, those spaces that should be landscaped in the first place. In the near future, the results of the vote will be summed up. Until the end of the week, information about the winners will be published.

This year all 63 municipalities will take part in the implementation of the priority project. The total amount of funds allocated for the improvement of yards and public areas will exceed 1 billion rubles. Of these, 891 million rubles will be allocated from the federal budget, 175 million rubles from the republican budget.

In 2017, 23 municipalities took part in the priority project implementation "Comfortable Urban Environment Formation" in Bashkiria. 416 domestic and 37 public areas were landscaped.

Works were carried out to illuminate the streets, to arrange car parks, areas for recreation, container sites and public gardens. Modern children's playgrounds and sports grounds have appeared in the landscaped territories.


About 200 journalists and bloggers took part in "Elections-2018" public press center

On March 18, 2018, a public press center "Elections-2018" was opened in Ufa simultaneously with the polling stations for the presidential elections in Russia. During the day, journalists, bloggers, opinion leaders, members of public organizations, political scientists and experts, representatives of election headquarters followed the voting process 24 hours a day.

Briefings were held in the press center during the day: media representatives were told about the organization of voting for disabled voters, train passengers and air passengers, elections in medical institutions, pre-trial detention centers, remote settlements. After lunch, representatives of the pre-election headquarters of almost all the candidates for the President of Russia responded to journalists' questions. Also, a transfer was organized to the Central Election Commission of Bashkortostan, live broadcasts from the CEC of the Republic of Bashkortostan and polling stations in the cities and districts of the republic.

Rustem Khamitov: "Voters supported President's policy"


UFA, 19 March 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/. During the elections, voters supported the policy conducted by the current President of Russia Vladimir Putin. This was stated by the Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov, commenting on the results of the elections held yesterday.

“Voters supported the President's line of policy. In his Address, the President spoke quite a lot about the new social policy in the country. This is primarily due to even greater attention to health care issues, to issues related to education, to support of those who need it.”

According to the Head of the Republic, one of the key tasks in the social sphere will be an increase in average life expectancy of up to 80 years.

“In addition, we understand that considerable efforts will be directed to increase labor efficiency, competitiveness of our enterprises, and to issues related to the modern development of the economy. Digitalization, artificial intelligence, robotics, other current innovations will be promoted especially actively. Significant resources will be allocated for it, about trillions of rubles”, Rustem Khamitov marked.

The Head of the Republic noted that the Social and Economic Development Strategy until 2030 was formed in Bashkortostan.

According to the CEC RB , the voter turnout in the republic made 75.45 percent. The current head of state Vladimir Putin received 77.69 percent of votes.


Frosty weather is set to continue in Bashkiria on March 20

Semen Elistratov won third medal at World Championships

For comparison: in 2012 the turnout at the presidential elections in Russia was 76.38%. This was stated by the Chairman of the Central Election Commission RB Khaidar Valeyev at a final briefing. The briefing was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission Marat Gadilov, Commission Secretary Marina Dolmatova.

11,993 observers, 250 journalists representing 104 media were present at the polling stations on the voting day.

Since the beginning of the election campaign of the President of the Russian Federation, 80 appeals were received, 16 of them on the voting day. According to preliminary data, no violations of the electoral legislation were established on these appeals.


Rustem Khamitov: "Elections in Bashkortostan once again demonstrated unity of our society"

This was stated by the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov commenting on the results of the elections.

“A landslide victory was won by the incumbent Russian President Vladimir Putin. The figures are very high, 77.7 percent in our republic", Rustem Khamitov said.

The Head of the Republic noted that the high level of nationwide turnout, which exceeded 67 percent, was the result of great work at all levels of government, the public, and political parties.

“As for our republic, the turnout was much higher here — 75.4 percent. At the same time, we see that the cities have shown good results. This again testifies to the fact that our citizens set a high value on these elections, they want to participate in the future of our country, in the formation of a political agenda", stressed Rustem Khamitov.

The Head of the Region said that during the elections there were a small number of faults and violations in the republic, which were of a formal nature.

According to the Head of Bashkortostan, the elections in the republic were positive, organized and legitimate.


Vladimir Putin announced formation of future Government

Ufa biathlete Anton Babikov won World Cup bronze in Holmenkollen

Exit polls data on presidential elections are announced in Bashkiria


UFA, 19 March 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. In Bashkortostan, Vladimir Putin leads the presidential elections in Russia according to exit polls. The result of the leader is 74% of the vote. Pavel Grudinin takes the second place with a result of 11.7%. Vladimir Zhirinovsky closes the top three — 7.3% of the vote.

Then Grigory Yavlinsky goes with 2.2%, Ksenia Sobchak — 1.4%, Boris Titov — 1.2%, Sergei Baburin — 0.9% and Maxim Suraykin — 0.7%.

The exit polls data are based on surveys of three leading scientific sociological centers: the Socis-Expert research center, SIMAX and the Center for Humanitarian Studies. They have conducted an unprecedented study at 100 polling stations using the exit poll method. The Deputy Director of the SIMAX Center Yulia Veselukhina announced the data in the press center of the elections.

Residents of the republic elected the head of state for the next six years. In Bashkortostan, voter turnout in the presidential elections was 64.39 percent by 18.00. More than 1 954 914 inhabitants of the republic casted their votes in the elections.

There were 3,398 permanent-type polling stations and 38 mobile polling stations established in the places of temporary stay of voters in the republic (31 in medical institutions, three in sanatoriums, three in pre-trial detention facilities, and one at the railway station of Ufa).

Today, on March 18, presidential elections are held in Russia. Eight candidates are competing for the post of the head of state: Baburin Sergey Nikolayevich ("Russian National Union"), Grudinin Pavel Nikolayevich (Communist Party), Zhirinovsky Vladimir Volfovich (LDPR), Putin Vladimir Vladimirovich (self-nomination), Sobchak Ksenia Anatolyevna ("Civil Initiative"), Suraykin Maxim Alexandrovich ("Communists of Russia"), Titov Boris Yurievich (Growth Party), Yavlinsky Grigory Alekseevich ("Yabloko").


Ufa native Semen Elistratov won second World Championship medal in Montreal


UFA, 18 March 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The Ufa native Semen Elistratov won bronze at the 500 m distance at the World Short Track Championships, which takes place in Montreal. In the final race the athlete lost to the Korean Dae Heon and Chinese Ziwei Ren.

For the Russian this award was the second in the tournament. Previously, he was the third in the 1500m.

Semen Elistratov is a bronze medalist of the 2018 Olympic Games at a distance of 1500 meters. In addition, he has a gold medal of the world championship 2015 at the same distance in his count.

OSCE observers assessed work of Public Election Press Center in Bashkiria

Long-term observers from the International Observation Mission of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) Eric Werner and Natasha Tsullino evaluated work of the Public Election Press Center in Ufa. On the eve of the elections, the observers managed to visit electoral commissions in the cities of Ufa, Salavat and Sterlitamak, met with representatives of various political parties.

According to Natasha Tsullino, in addition to them, 12 short-term OSCE observers are present in the republic. They observe the voting in the cities of Oktyabrsky, Neftekamsk, Salavat and Sterlitamak.

Natasha Tsullino noted that it was her first time in Bashkortostan, and she had very good impressions of our republic.

The guest from Europe said that she had tasted chak-chak, belesh and wild-hive honey in Bashkiria. Observers liked the national dishes and hospitality.

In order to monitor the elections of the President of the Russian Federation on March 18, 2018, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) sent 480 observers to the constituent entities of the Russian Federation that are part of the OSCE/ODIHR International Monitoring Mission.

In Bashkortostan, a mission of CIS observers works at the presidential elections. It consists of one observer from the Republic of Belarus and 12 representatives of Kazakhstan.

On the voting day, international observers accompanied by translators will be able to observe polling stations work and votes counting at one of the precinct election commission. Observers will be present while entering final protocol data into GAS "Vybory" system at a territorial election commissions. Based on the results of the observation, they will receive certified copies of the final protocols of precinct election commissions and summary tables of territorial election commissions.


Ufa native voted in presidential elections in Russia in Australia

"During the previous elections (to the State Duma of the Russian Federation — Ed.), I was in New York, a queue to the polling station was very long — I did not have enough patience to wait", says Aliya. “Now I live in Sydney, and despite a hot day (+39 degrees Celsius!), I decided to vote — for the first time in my life. I regret not having done this before. This is our right, and we should exercise it and express our opinion – this is what the elections exist for".

The Consulate General of Russia is located in the downtown next to the consulates of Poland and Serbia — a 15-minute walk from a metro station. This is a very prestigious and expensive district of the city.

International expert from Mexico assessed polling stations work in Ufa

On March 18, the Ufa Public Press Center "Elections-2018" was visited by an international expert from Mexico, the chief of office of the head of the Mexico City Congress Raul Torres. "I saw how young people came to vote, parents with children, pensioners. No violations were found. Everything was fine. The only upsetting thing was the weather", the international expert said.
