Bashkiria post-graduate student spoke with Russian Foreign Minister


UFA, 20 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. The native of Bashkortostan from Tuymazy city, graduate student of Bauman Moscow State Technical University Marat Shafikov became a delegate of the World Youth and Student Festival that is taking place in Sochi, the Tuymazinsky Vestnik newspaper reports. The event brought together about 20,000 young people from over 180 countries. A unique educational, cultural and sports program is organized for them, aimed at uniting the world's population with ideas of friendship and peace. Every day there are discussion clubs, where the most important world problems are discussed: combating terrorism, issues of ecology and health.

The Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov took part in one of the festival events, which topic was "Society and Global Politics" and gathered a lot of visitors. Very few people were lucky enough to ask the minister a question, but Marat Shafikov managed to ask the politician two questions at once. First he asked the opinion of the minister regarding the Middle East development with the help of the newly created BRICS Bank, and then suggested creating a SCO and BRICS media center, which would broadcast globally.

"You are a foresighted person",  said Sergei Lavrov commenting on the second question. "The BRICS countries TV channel is already being created. In the near future frequencies will be allocated for its broadcasting".


Hospitality and Travel Industry Forum date is announced in Bashkiria


UFA, 20 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The Bashkir capital will host the annual Hospitality and Travel Industry Forum from November 15 to 17. Ufa will become the center of attraction for those engaged in tourism and hospitality area.

According to the press service of the regional government, China, Switzerland, Greece and Iran have already expressed their desire to participate in the events of the forum. Foreign and Russian experts in tourism will gather in the capital of Bashkortostan to share their experience and discuss the most pressing issues in the development of this sphere.

Part of the events will be broadcasted live on the portal Profi.Travel for professionals of the tourism market in Russia and the CIS countries.

For the first time a fair of children's tours will be held in the framework of the forum. It will offer a wide variety of programs for children. One can participate in them not only during school holidays, but also during a school year, as many of these programs involve bright and lively lessons.

In addition, guest yurts will represent the "The New-Year, Amazing Bashkortostan" project at the upcoming forum.

The stands of tourist and recreational clusters of the republic will display their offers and present investment potential, beauty and local sights.


Fedor Emelianenko will come to Bashkiria to open Russian Mixed Martial Arts Championship


UFA, 20 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alfiya Agliullina/. The four-time world champion in Mixed Martial Arts Fedor Emelianenko will take part in a solemn opening ceremony of the Russian Mixed Martial Arts Championship  (MMA) among young men aged 14-15.

The championship of the country will be held at the Dynamo sports complex in Ufa on October 21 and 22. The capital of Bashkortostan will be the first city in the world, where for the first time in the MMA history the championship among 14-15 years athletes will be held.

As the Bashinform News Agency was informed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports RB, the competition will be conducted in ten weight categories. Bashkortostan in the championship will be represented by two national teams.

Organizers of the Sports Forum are the Russian MMA Union, the Federation of Mixed Martial Arts in RB, the regional Ministry of Youth and Sports and the administration of Ufa.


Liliya Gumerova: "The intellectual property conference in Sochi brought together young scientists of the world"

Within the framework of the 19th World Youth and Student Festival in Sochi, the International Research and Practice Conference "21st Century: Youth of Intellect" was held. The conference was organized by the Federation Council and Bauman Moscow State Technical University with the support of the World Intellectual Property Organization, in which young scientists from the regions of Russia, Belarus, the People's Republic of China, India, the SCO and BRICS countries took part.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee for Science, Education and Culture, the representative from the executive governmental body of Bashkortostan Liliya Gumerova, who moderated the conference, marked that the conference was held under the auspices of the Federation Council for the fourth time and, above all, aimed at making the developments and scientific researches of young scientists got their start in practice and were involved in the economy.

Speaking to experts and participants of the event, young scientists told about their success stories, scientific and technical developments, many of which were already implemented and brought great profit to their authors. Developments related to the regulation of train traffic, technologies for the socially significant diseases treatment, digital programming and supercomputer modeling, unmanned control technologies, flight control of highly maneuverable aircraft were presented before the experts. In addition, the young scientists who were among the winners of the Conference presented the first Russian roadster "Crimea" and an amphibian aircraft that will transport passengers for distances over eight thousand kilometers, the press service of the Government of Bashkortostan informs.


Salavat Yulaev will start home series game against Avtomobilist


UFA, 20 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Daria Petrova/. Today, on October 20, the Ufa Salavat Yulaev on home ice will play against HC Avtomobilist from Yekaterinburg. As a part of the guests there are many well-known names to the Ufa fans: former Salavat Yulaev goalkeeper Vladimir Sohatsky, defender Alexey Vasilevsky, forwards Artem Gareev and Stepan Khripunov and, of course, Denis Kulyash. The ex-captain of the Salavat Yulaev, who left the club in early October, will play for the first time against the Ufa team.

This season the teams have already met. In September, in the home match Avtomobilist defeated Salavat Yulaev with a score of 4:0. Total the clubs played against each other 21 times in the KHL, in 10 cases the Ufa team was stronger.

Grain harvest in Bashkiria is almost 0.5 million tons more than in 2016 - Ministry of Agriculture


UFA, 20 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The grain harvest in Bashkortostan significantly exceeded last year's figures.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture RB, the gross grain harvest has already reached 3.837 million tons. A year ago 3,373 million tons were collected in the region.

Among the best grain and leguminous crops are the farms of Sterlitamak, Meleuz, Chekmagush, Baimak and Ilishevo districts. In each of these areas, from 142.2 to 225.6 thousand tons of grain were harvested.

According to the data of the agrarian department, cereal crops and leguminous crops are cut and threshed by 99.6% of the plan. Agrarians of 13 districts are currently completing harvesting.

The average yield was 22 centners per hectare this year. The highest yields during harvesting were recorded in the farms of Chekmagush and Sterlitamak districts — 39.7 and 32.6 centners per hectare, respectively.


Newborn citizens of Russia will receive gifts from state


UFA, 20 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. Every newborn in Russia can receive a gift from the state already in the next year. Gifts were included in the draft plan of the main events until 2020 within the framework of the Decade of Childhood, developed by the Ministry of Labor, Izvestia reports.

Gifts are planned to be given to mothers at discharging from a hospital. According to experts, it can be diapers, rattles, crawlers and other essential items for babies mainly of Russian production.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the initiative will not only support domestic producers, but will also stimulate the improvement of the demographic situation.

The project has already been coordinated in the Ministry of Economic Development. However, there are no specific proposals on how to conduct and finance this event. According to the Ministry of Labor, regions should allocated funds for this initiative by themselves.

In Bashkiria, all mothers on the initiative of the republican authorities receive gifts at discharge from the hospital. The set includes thin and warm baby linen, caps and a blanket for the season. So, if necessary, the baby can try on new clothes when he leaves the hospital. And, of course, the gift is accompanied by a greeting card to the new citizen of the country and his parents.


Rustem Khamitov: "Universities are our intellectual foundation"


UFA, 20 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. Yesterday in the House of the Republic the Head of Bashkortostan met with the rectors of the leading universities of our region. Problems and prospects for the higher education development in the republic were discussed there.

“Universities are our intellectual foundation. We know how important it is to organize successfully the university community, higher education institutions operation. Of course, we will do our best to make this activity successful and, most importantly, effective", said Rustem Khamitov.

“In accordance with the research of the Higher School of Economics our republic was included in the number of leading regions on quality of admission to universities in 2017. This fact is encouraging. We have a high average score of student enrolment to state-financed openings — almost 70. This is the best indicator in recent years. Together with Krasnodar and Perm Territory, we occupy the seventh place among the regions. The situation is better for the medical and oil universities. There the average score is higher than 75. Bashkir State, Pedagogical, Aviation Universities have slightly lower, but also worthy results.”

Remuneration of university staff was one of the issues under discussion. The Rector of Bashkir State Agrarian University Ildar Gabitov reported on the implementation of the "May" decrees of the Russian President Vladimir Putin in terms of increasing the salaries of the faculty. According to him, almost all universities, except for sectoral ones, reached target indicators. The lagging of sectoral higher education institutions in this regard is due to insufficient funding from the federal ministries supervising them. The head of the republic noted that he would join a solution of this issue and discuss the situation with the relevant ministers.


Rustem Khamitov: "Cooperation development can significantly increase gross regional product growth"


UFA, 20 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov held a working meeting on the development of the cooperative activity. Members of the Government of the republic, heads of relevant departments, representatives of municipalities, science, business, trade, as well as heads of agricultural cooperatives took part in it.

“According to various estimates, the development of cooperation can significantly increase the growth of the gross regional product. Estimates vary from 10 to 30 percent. Even if we reach 10 percent it is already a huge progress. Of course, we cannot ignore such opportunities”,  Rustem Khamitov underlined.

Rustem Khamitov noted that it was necessary to explain to rural residents the advantages of cooperation, organize local training, and to help already created cooperatives with the bookkeeping and tax reporting, with sale of finished products.

The Minister of Agriculture RB Ilshat Fazrakhmanov and the Chairman of the State Committee RB on Entrepreneurship and Tourism Vyacheslav Gilyazitdinov told about the development of agricultural consumption cooperation in the republic and measures of its support. Successful working experience was shared by the heads of operating agricultural cooperatives of Fedorovka, Karaidel, Kushnarenkovo and Baymak districts.

Expert of the World Bank, senior economist for agriculture Artavazd Akopyan explained that financial support was only one of the components of the cooperative business development. Methodological  and information support, as well as the overall level of the region development are also important.


Hockey players of Ufa HC Agidel assisted Russian team in match against HC Boston

Girls take part in a series of exhibition matches of the Russian national team against women's NHL clubs. Bashkiria strengthens trade and economic relations with Norway


UFA, 19 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. During an official visit of the Bashkortostan delegation to Norway, the Minister of Economic Development Sergey Novikov met with the executive director of the Norwegian-Russian Chamber of Commerce, Jarle Forbord.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development of Bashkortostan, opportunities and prospects of bilateral cooperation were discussed at the meeting.

In particular, the parties expressed interest in developing joint projects in the field of tourism, forestry and chemical industry, pharmaceuticals in the production of vitamins, fish farming.

In addition, a possibility of organizing business missions in Bashkortostan was discussed. The Norwegian-Russian Chamber of Commerce expressed its willingness to conduct training events for entrepreneurs of the republic and cooperation with universities in the region.

The executive director of the Norwegian-Russian Chamber of Commerce Jarle Forbord proposed to develop a program for the specialists exchange in the oil industry.

A separate topic of discussion was terms for entry of the Bashkortostan enterprises into the Norwegian market in terms of export development of non-primary products.

At the meeting, an agreement was reached on the preparation of a joint plan of measures to develop trade and economic relations. The preliminary terms of the return visit of the Norwegian delegation to Bashkortostan were outlined. The importance of further cooperation with the Kingdom of Norway was marked in both the B2B (business with business) and R2R (region with the region) formats.

The result of the meeting was a Protocol on Cooperation signing between the Ministry of Economic Development of Bashkortostan and the Norwegian company "RuBiN". The document is expected to assist in the implementation of economic, investment and innovative projects of small and medium-sized businesses in the field of IT technologies, education, infrastructure, tourism, medicine, science, culture, art, innovation, agriculture and fisheries, as well as methodological support for the opening business in Norway.

According to «Izvestia», Vietnam, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, India and Israel are the most popular among foreign destinations.

The cost of trips across Russia and beyond the country since last year has practically not changed and makes 25 thousand and 35-40 thousand rubles respectively.

The most original destination was North Korea, where eight days in a four-star hotel in the New Year holidays will cost 150 thousand rubles.


Senator Rafail Zinurov took part in international forum of parliamentarians


UFA, 19 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. The 137th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union was concluded in St. Petersburg. The current forum is the most representative for the entire 128-year history of the union: over 160 delegations, 96 of them speakers, 2400 participants.

The program of the Assembly was very rich and diverse: these were meetings of the standing committees on peace and international security, sustainable development, finance and trade, democracy and human rights, UN affairs; the Association of Secretaries General of Parliaments, and the Forums of Parliamentary Women, Young Parliamentarians, and the election of the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

The member of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Rafail Zinurov participated in bilateral meetings with heads of national delegations of Indonesia, Uruguay, Seychelles, Burundi, Monaco, Laos, Cambodia, Argentina, the Philippines, Equatorial Guinea, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, Rwanda, Algeria, Nigeria, Namibia and Qatar.

During the talks, issues of developing mutually beneficial bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation, expanding cultural, educational and humanitarian ties, as well as expanding bilateral and multilateral inter-parliamentary relations were discussed.

On the last day of the Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Rafail Zinurov, as part of the Russian delegation headed by the Federation Council Chairwoman Valentina Matvienko, participated in negotiations with colleagues representing the Hungarian State Assembly headed by Hungarian Parliament Speaker Laszlo Kövér. Discussing the topic of the intercultural pluralism development in the world, the parties also touched on the situation around the law on education adopted in Ukraine, which discriminatory regulations do not allow members of ethnic minorities to receive education in their native language. According to the parties, this situation is unacceptable.

After the forum is over, the senator from Bashkortostan, who is the head of the group of members of the Federation Council for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation with the Republic of Korea, will meet with the Secretary General of the National Assembly of South Korea, Woo Yoon-keun. It relates to long-term plans for cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries.


Bashkortostan retains leading positions in poultry meat production in Russia


UFA, 19 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. Bashkortostan continues to hold the leading position among the regions of the country in poultry production by agricultural organizations. These are the results of work for the first nine months of this year.

"Tambov, Belgorod, Tula, Kursk, Volgograd, Moscow regions, and the Republic of Bashkortostan have increased the production of poultry in agricultural organizations, and the Leningrad, Tyumen, Tula, Yaroslavl, Omsk, Rostov regions and the Krasnodar Territory are leading in increasing the production of eggs," stated Director of the Department of Livestock and Breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia Kharon Amerkhanov.

According to him, in January-September of this year, the production of poultry for slaughter in live weight in all categories of farms was 4.8 million tons in the country. This is 7% more than a year ago.

Including in agricultural organizations, 4.5 million tons of poultry meat were produced, which is 7.5% more than last year.

The production of eggs in all categories of farms in Russia amounted to 33.98 billion pieces (+ 3% or 991.9 million). Of these, 26.6 billion eggs were produced in agricultural organizations. This is + 4.1% or more than 1 billion eggs more than a year ago.


Forecast for coming winter is announced – should we expect extreme cold?

The chief weather forecaster urged not to believe the statements that this winter would be extremely cold, since, according to him, the forecast of extreme weather cannot be done for a long period.

As Bashinform News Agency reported, in the republic a cold snap is forecasted from tomorrow (October 20), when cold arctic air mass will enter the territory of the region. Wet snow, temporary snow cover is expected. At night and in the morning, the chances of ice formation are high.
