Leading mass media representatives took part in Journalists International Forum in Kazakhstan

In Kazakhstan, the International Forum of Journalists "The Turkic World and Information Space" gathered representatives of the leading media from different countries — Kazakhstan, Russia (Bashkortostan and Tatarstan), Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Belgium. The event was attended by the reporter of the Bashinform Information Agency, the member of the Russian Union of Journalists Leila Aralbaeva.
Honourary guests, journalists, students of the university gathered in the Great Hall of the Palace of Culture of HA. Yassavi International University in the city of Turkestan. The topical issues of journalism, strengthening of mutual cooperation and further development of intercultural relations were discussed there. The speakers expressed ideas of creating a common TV channel, joint television series, animated films, a club of journalistic friendship. A resolution was adopted as a result of the forum.
Within the framework of the event, for the first time journalists were awarded Ismail Gaspirali media prize. The awards were given to four journalists: the Editor-in-chief of the "Turan" department of the "Discover Azerbaijan" magazine Aida Eivazova, Kazinform Information Agency Director-General Askar Umarov (Kazakhstan) and Turkish counterparts Yeni Çağ newspaper reporter Kürşad Zorlu and the editor of NTV television channel Ahmet Yeşiltepe.
An intense cultural program was organized for journalists with sightseeing in the cities of Shymkent and Turkestan — Sairam, Otyrar, Arystan-Bab, Khoja Ahmet Yassawi mausoleum, Beidibek-bey monument, arboretum park.
The organizers of the media forum, which was held within the framework of the "Turkestan — Cultural Page of Turkic World-2017" program, were the Akimat of the South-Kazakhstan region and the International Turkic Academy (Astana).
