In Bashkortostan, municipalities have been identified that will receive funds under the "Small Cities Parks" project of the United Russia party. The total amount of funding for 2017 will be more than 22.5 million rubles, of which 18.7 million will be allocated from the federal budget, the rest — from the republican, the press service of the regional branch of the party informs.
The cities of Belebey, Beloretsk, Blagoveshchensk, Uchaly and Kumertau will be able to accomplish their parks.
"According to the terms of the party project, only small towns with a population of up to 250 thousand inhabitants can become participants. More than 20 municipalities of the republic fall under this criterion. Those which have not been included in the list for landscaping this year, still have an opportunity to participate, since it is a long-term project and is designed for three years," said the project coordinator in Bashkortostan, the State Assembly deputy Alexander Degtev at a meeting of the public council.
Vyacheslav Suvorov, the chairman of the public council for the project, noted that the "Small Cities Parks" project implied not only creation of infrastructure, but also preservation of urban forests, parks and squares in populated areas.
The deputies of the State Assembly RB, who were elected from these territories, are involved in the implementation of the new party initiative.
