Expanded meeting of World Kurultay of Bashkirs took place in Ufa

Ufa hosted an expanded meeting of the Executive Committee of the World Kurultay of Bashkirs on April 22. 110 delegates from regions of Russia — Sverdlovsk, Saratov, Samara Regions, Perm Territory, including 69 people from the regions and cities of the Republic of Bashkortostan, took part in the meeting chaired by Amir Ishemgulov. A Skype connection was established with those delegates who could not come to Ufa — representatives of the Bashkir diasporas from China, Tatarstan, Rostov-on-Don and the Republic of Crimea. The event was attended by the State Duma deputy Zugura Rakhmatullina, the Senator from Bashkortostan Rafail Zinurov, the Deputy Chairman of the State Assembly of the Republic of Bashkortostan Yumabika Ilyasova, the deputy head of the Ufa administration Syntimir Bayazitov.

The delegates discussed issues of adequate reflection of Bashkortostan history in modern historical and local lore literature, organization and conduction of congresses of Bashkirs clans, meetings of Bashkir youth, children's meetings in districts and cities of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The participants announced their intention to hold a round table "The Role of the Bashkir Language in International Relations" and the International Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to the proclamation of the Bashkir Republic autonomy.

The plan of the main activities of the Executive Committee of Kurultai of Bashkirs for 2017 was approved. By tradition, the Bashkir Language Day will be held on July 1-2.

As part of the event, the delegates took part in the writing of the Regional Dictation in the Bashkir Language. Also, the participants saw a new historical feature film "Babich" by Bulat Yusupov.
