Last year Bashkortostan was the only region in the Russian Federation where the population purchased more cars than in 2015. This suggests that, in general, the revenue part is still at a good level. On April 20, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov told journalists about the measures taken by the regional authorities to stabilize the living standards and incomes of people.
"Although I understand that almost 60 percent of working people receive wages less than 20 thousand rubles. Of course, these are not figures, which we strive for. At the same time we know that there are also off-the-book salaries, and other sources of income, to put it mildly", said the Head of the Region.
Rustem Khamitov noted that there were disadvantaged people who simply did not have enough resources for living. There are still a lot of them.
"The issues of poverty have not been resolved. These are issues that cannot be straightened out in one or two years. But it is important to reduce the number of people in a difficult life situation", the Head of the Region stressed.
Rustem Khamitov touched upon a theme of income inequality. There is a huge difference between those who receive a minimum wage, and those who earn very well.
"The society endures this income inequality very hard. We know about this problem. We think that we will gradually reduce this difference, which exists," the Head of the Republic summed up.
