"My first public success is connected with Ufa" - Russian pianist Boris Berezovsky

UFA, 11 April 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/.

"My first public success is connected with Ufa", the famous Moscow pianist and Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation Boris Berezovsky stated at a press conference in Bashinform News Agency today. The famous artist remembered that he had performed in Ufa at the age of 14 at the All-Russian competition.

Today the artist started rehearsals with the National Symphony Orchestra RB. A joint performance on April 12 at the State Concert Hall "Bashkortostan" will kick off the International Music Festival dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the orchestra. Ufa residents will be able to listen to the third Piano and Orchestra Concerto by S. Rakhmaninov and "Scheherazade" N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov.

The music festival will last until mid-May. The billboards feature several other names known in the music world: violinist Nikita Borisoglebsky, cellist Gleb Stepanov, conductor from Singapore Darrell Ang.

On April 23, the audience will see the Ufa premiere of the rarely performed work — Concert Allegro by Karl Davydov for Cello and Orchestra. The cello will be performed by the laureate of international competitions Gleb Stepanov. The same evening he will perform with the orchestra the Concerto No.1 for Cello and Orchestra by C. Saint-Saens. The program of the concert will be complemented by Symphony No. 2 "Bogatyrskaya" by A. Borodin. The young Ufa conductor Kamil Abdullin will be at the conductor's panel.

On the third festival evening on April 27, a joint program will be presented by the young Russian violinist Nikita Borisoglebsky and conductor Darrell Ang (Singapore). It will feature Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in D Minor by J. Sibelius and Symphony No. 3 "The Scottish" by F. Mendelssohn.

The "Carmina Burana" cantata by K. Orff will be the culmination and completion of the anniversary festival on May 11. The concert is planned to be accompanied by a video series.

On June 13, the National Symphony Orchestra will perform at the traditional open air in the Ufa Amphitheatre.
