Rustem Khamitov expressed his condolences in connection with decease of Russian hockey coach Sergei Gimayev

The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov expressed his condolences in connection with the decease of the Hounoured Russian hockey coach Sergei Gimayev. The telegram of the Head of the Region addressed to the President of the Russian Hockey Federation Vladislav Tretiak states the following:
"On behalf of the residents of Bashkortostan, on my own behalf, I express my sincere condolences in connection with the sudden death of the Honoured Coach of Russia in hockey, the multiple champion of the USSR, the leading expert and newscaster Sergei Nailevich Gimaev.
Our countryman, trainee of the hockey school of HC Salavat Yulaev Sergei Gimaev made a huge contribution to the popularization of hockey and development of sports television in Russia. He never lost touch with his small homeland, met with fans during his visits to matches in Ufa and Neftekamsk, conducted master classes for children, remained open and friendly person.
We mourn together with all hockey fans of our country, share the bitterness of grievous loss with relatives, colleagues and friends of Sergei Gimayev. We will forever remember him in our hearts as a great professional and a wonderful person".
