Bashkortostan souvenir products are presented at exhibition in France

Souvenir products from Bashkortostan are presented at an exhibition in France. The exhibition of folk handicrafts and crafts "Russian Souvenir", which demonstrates the cultural diversity and flavour of the Russian regions, is held at the Russian Spiritual and Cultural Orthodox Centre in Paris.
The exposition includes traditional costumes, headdresses, embroidery, musical instruments, toys and household items from Bashkortostan, Dagestan, Karelia, Komi, Khakassia, Chuvashia, from Astrakhan, Ryazan, Lipetsk, Moscow and Tula regions.
"Art crafts are traditions, history, originality and authenticity of each Russian region. All our regions carefully preserve and hand down these traditions from generation to generation, "said Olga Yarilova, Director of the Department of Tourism and Regional Policy of the Ministry of Culture of Russia, at the opening of the exhibition. “The exhibition presents exhibits that are more than 100 years old, but there are also items recreated with old technologies and recipes more recently".
The exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The exhibition "Russian Souvenir" is held in the framework of the cross-cultural year of Russia and France and will last until April 9.
