Major fire in Bashkiria: more than 40 firefighters put out burning trucks on highway

More than 40 firefighters were engaged in extinguishing burning trucks on the federal highway M-5 in the Ufa region of Bashkortostan. The Crisis Management Centre of EMERCOM of Russia in the Republic of Bashkortostan" was reported on fire of "Zil" and "Volvo" road-tankers with propane at 23.35 on February 19.
Manpower and resources of the Ufa fire-rescue garrison arrived on the scene.
"It was seen a jet fire of two road tankers. 14 special vehicles and 41 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations participated in the fire suppression and cooling of road tankers. Due to the coordinated and prompt response of fire brigades further spread of fire to the Volvo truck trailer and the cars parked next to it was not allowed. There were no dead and injured people. There is no threat to population", reported the press service of the department.
At 00.14 the fire was localized, at 00.47 — open burning was eliminated. The fire was fully extinguished at 02.25.
Two trucks with tanks and partially a cabin of the MAN truck standing next to them were damaged in the accident. The cause of fire and the exact amount of financial damage are under investigation.
