Singer Alfiya Karimova gave a solo concert in London

The opera singer Alfiya Karimova gave a solo concert in London. Together with the pianist, singer, composer and producer Eugenia Terentyeva she performed classical Russian romances by Rachmaninov, Rimsky-Korsakov and Tchaikovsky. The Alfiya Karimova’s concert opened the 4th International Performing Arts Festival "Stars of Albion. Maslenitsa".
Alfiya Karimova is the Honoured Artist of Bashkortostan, the leading soloist of the theatre "Astana Opera" (Kazakhstan), laureate of international vocal competitions, the winner of the prestigious award "The Opera Ball Award-2015" in the nomination "Best Female Voice", the member of the jury of international competitions, and the teacher.
Ufa residents will also soon have a chance to listen to their favourite singer. On March 20, Alfiya Karimova will sing Violetta in "La Traviata" opera by J. Verdi at the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theatre.
The "Stars of Albion" project was organized by the International Academy of Music "Music Nova" and the Russian Cultural Centre under the Patronage of the World Association of Performing Arts and is supported by the Mission of Rossotrudnichestvo in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The creative competition was attended by artists from Britain, Russia, Germany, Italy, Bulgaria, Malta, Latvia, Armenia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Brazil, Greece, Spain, Ghana and India. This year the competition was held during one of the major Russian traditional festival’s called “Maslenitsa”. A valuable prize was given for the best performance of music by a Russian composer and for the best vocal performance in Russian language.
