UFA, 20 December 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/.
It was suggested to name one of Moscow metro stations - "Bashkirskaya". This proposal was announced by the Duma deputy Inga Yumasheva. She asked the underground leadership to establish a plaque in the honour of the republican subway builders and name a metro station - "Bashkirskaya".
In the year of the 85th anniversary of "Moscow Metro" our republic was given an opportunity to hold an "Open Bashkortostan" photo exhibition. The photo exhibition has become a tribute to the Bashkir subway builders. "It is because in 1933-35, at the beginning of the first subway construction, the biggest one five-thousandth detachment of volunteers arrived in the capital from the Bashkir village of Nikolo-Berezovka and surrounding villages. In particular, in the first six months of subway construction every sixth builder was from Bashkiria, and in total number involved in the construction of the first metro line — every 15th. They worked in extremely difficult conditions of manual labour at the construction of the first stations — "Sokolniki", "Komsomolskaya", "Krasnye Vorota", "Krasnoselskaya" and others ", said the head of the press centre of the Plenipotentiary representative office of the Republic of Bashkortostan under the President of the Russian Federation Gulchachak Hannanova.
The exhibition will be open for one month, until January 20. The Bashkir State Philharmonic Society musicians performed at the opening of the project.
