HC Salavat Yulaev’s hockey jerseys were sold in Ufa

In Ufa, in the framework of the World Day of Charity "GivingTuesday" the HC Salavat Yulaev and "Markhamat" Charitable Educational Foundation held an auction in honour of the 55th anniversary of the club.
According to the press service of the club, HC Salavat Yulaev’s hockey jerseys, in which the team played a retro-match with the HC Dynamo (Moscow), were exhibited as the lots. Sticks, caps, posters autographed by the players, as well as a cake from the renowned Ufa confectioner Olga Noskova were also put on action.
The most expensive acquisition of collectors became a jersey of Linus Umark. It was bought for 65 thousand rubles. The total sum raised at the event amounted to 555,000 rubles. The funds will be spent on construction of a playground for children with disabilities in Ufa Foresters Park.
The public initiative "Giving Tuesday" is carried out since 2012 and runs in 71 countries. In Russia, this year it takes place for the first time and is co-ordinated by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF). On the last Tuesday in November, millions of people around the world will join together to become a part of a large charity flashmob – they will organize events, make donations, participate in the activities and initiatives for the benefit of charitable organizations. All information on activities and events is united in social networks under the hashtag #SchedryyVtornik (GivingTuesday).
