Bashkiria intends to develop Internet business

The Bashkortostan State Committee for IT Development and "Open Republic" System Functioning signed a cooperation agreement with the Foundation for Internet Initiatives Development (FRII). The document was signed by the chairman of the State Committee RB for IT Development Rinat Shagalin and development director of the Foundation Yevgeny Borisov.
Implementation of this agreement will be aimed at creating a system of partnership, under which the parties arrange mutual cooperation for the internet business sphere development in Bashkortostan.
Under the agreement, FRII provides the State Committee for IT Development with the "Internet Entrepreneurship" Educational Course available for implementation in the universities of the region.
"The course is designed so that students can start their own business on the Internet. Currently, more than 100 Russian universities have already implemented it. More than three thousand students have already been trained under this program. More than 300 applications were received from them by our Foundation", Yevgeny Borisov said at a press conference in Bashinform News Agency.
The Foundation has launched various educational programs and made a number of legislative initiatives.
As Yevgeny Borisov stressed, the main objective of the Foundation is to create necessary infrastructure and conditions promoting the emergence of a full-fledged industry of small and medium-sized online businesses in the country. Financial and expert support is among priorities at early stages of project development.
