Business ties with Kazakhstan were strengthened in Ufa

Ufa was a venue of the Russian-Kazakhstan forum. The delegation of business circles of Kazakhstan included government organizations and industrial enterprises — manufacturers of building materials, machinery, food products and medical equipment.
According to the Chamber of Commerce RB, the trade turnover between the parties amounted to more than 161 million dollars in the first half of 2016. Kazakhstan ranks 5th among the 98 partner countries on foreign economic cooperation. Nearly 140 enterprises of Bashkortostan are involved in the import-export with Kazakhstan. About 30 enterprises with participation of Kazakhstan capital operate in Bashkortostan.
"In our view, the potential of mutual trade and business cooperation is far from exhausted," said the vice-president of the CCI RB Pavel Barmin. “In addition to the traditional cooperation in the oil and gas sector, we see a possibility of increasing trade volumes in agriculture, biotechnology, engineering, IT-technology, joint implementation of infrastructure projects.”
The head of the business mission of Kazakhstan — the country's Consul General in Kazan Nuskabay Askhat said that the territorial proximity, accessibility, absence of customs barriers, the developed economies of the two republics would contribute to development of business ties.
During the forum, several companies of Kazakhstan made a presentation of their services and facilities, also the talks in the "business to business" format were held.
