Bashkortostan retains positive trends in industrial production

In the first nine months of the year Bashkortostan has improved its position in number of socio-economic development indexes in comparison with national values.
As reported at the meeting in the Government of Bashkortostan by the Minister of Economic Development RB Sergey Novikov, positive trends retained in industrial production of the republic. The industrial production index was 102.1 percent at the forecast value of 100.5 percent for 2016. Companies of 11 major economic sectors contributed to such situation.
Bashkortostan ranks seventh on this indicator among the regions of the Volga Federal District.
Positive trends developed in certain sectors of agriculture. An increase in production of livestock and poultry for slaughter in live weight, as well as milk and eggs was marked in the region compared with the last year.
The volume of investment in fixed assets for six months amounted to 117.2 billion rubles.
Positive rates were also observed in wood processing, food production, agro-industry, generation and distribution of electricity, gas and water, mining and construction.
In number of industries the figures were lower than the last year's and predicted values. In the mining industry production of silver and gold ores and concentrates, copper ore, zinc and copper concentrates decreased.
The decline was observed in the textile and clothing industry, as well as in production of vehicles and equipment.
Before October 25, municipal administrations are recommended to make amendments to "anti-crisis" plans, the press service of the Government of Bashkortostan reports.
