UFA, 13 October 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/.
The delegation of the Czech Republic is visiting Bashkortostan. It includes the government and business representatives.
The main purpose of the visit is to establish business contacts in the field of agriculture and forestry, petrochemicals, engineering, construction, and banking.
Cooperation between the Czech business community and Bashkortostan has existed for a long time. Today the "Czech Business Centre" operates in Ufa — an official representative of the government and commercial schools, training centres of the Czech Republic. Four companies with the capital from the Czech Republic and one representative of the Czech company are registered in Bashkortostan.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture RB, the trade turnover between the two regions exceeded one billion dollars, including in the field of agribusiness. Dozens of large dairy complexes equipped with modern milking rooms by Czech companies were put into operation.
"Unfortunately, in the last three years for various reasons, we have seen manifold decrease in the foreign trade turnover," Irek Muhametdinov, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of RB said at a business forum in the Chamber of Commerce of Bashkortostan. “Today we have an opportunity to establish new or renewing old business connections. The arrival of such a high-ranking delegation testifies to the fact that the Czech Government focuses on possible development of relations".
In his opinion, one of the areas of cooperation that can be quickly restored is dairy farming. Modern technologies in crop production and cattle breeding as well as in agricultural machinery are also of interest.
