Bashkortostan teachers' community marks its professional holiday

Teachers of Bashkortostan, as well as their counterparts in all countries of the world celebrate today, on October 5, their professional holiday. The Teachers' Day was established in 1994.
According to the portal calend.ru, historical prerequisite for the establishment of the holiday was Special Intergovernmental Conference on the Status of Teachers held in Paris on 5 October 1966. The document "Recommendations concerning the status of teachers" was signed by representatives of UNESCO and the International Labour Organization as a result.
On October 5, 1994 the World Teachers' Day was celebrated for the first time. Since then, the celebrations are held on this day.
According to the regional Ministry of Education, currently about 39 thousand of teachers work in educational institutions In Bashkortostan.
The Minister of Education RB Gulnaz Shafikova congratulated the teachers of our republic on their professional holiday. The congratulation says in part: "Dear colleagues! Thank you for your work and care, for your caring heart, for sincerity and patience, for love of your profession. I sincerely wish you further success, bright, talented and grateful pupils, good health, happiness and prosperity! ".
Today, teachers are honoured everywhere. In Ufa, in the House of Government RB teachers — winners of professional contests are awarded. The best teachers of the Bashkir and Russian languages, and young teachers — national grant holders will be honoured at the Institute of Education RB.
