On September 27, Rustem Khamitov held a meeting of the Council for Science under the Head of Bashkortostan at the House of the Government RB. It was devoted to the current state and prospects for resource-saving technologies in crop production in the region.
The Head of the Republic noted that in July, the Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on measures to implement the state scientific-technical policy promoting the agriculture development, according to which the Federal scientific and technical industry development program until 2025 will be developed.
“Every region should adopt a similar program. We will certainly need such document, as part of the overall strategy of the republican agro-industrial complex improving. The general task is known to everybody, namely — to enter the top five leading agricultural regions of the country”, said Rustem Khamitov. “To this end, it is necessary to increase the total volume of agricultural production up to 230 billion rubles by 2020 (in 2015 this figure amounted to 152 billion rubles). The output per worker in the agricultural sector should be increased to 2 million rubles, the share of crops production by the agricultural enterprises and farms should reach 60 percent (today — 40 percent). These tasks can be solved only with active introduction of innovative technologies in the agricultural sphere.”
Among the important tasks the Head of the Republic also mentioned resuming of production of chemical and biological plant protection agents — herbicides, fungicides, plant growth regulators.
Following the meeting of the Council for Science Rustem Khamitov commissioned to conduct an operational meeting on the same issues in the next six months, where elaborated forecasts and cost calculations to achieve the set goals should be submitted.
