Three vocalists will represent Bashkortostan in second round of Chaliapin Vocal Competition

 

UFA, 23 September 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. Three young vocalists representing Ufa were qualified for the second round of the Chaliapin Vocal Competition. This is a soloist of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre and "Astana Opera", the honoured artist of Bashkortostan Arthur Kaipkulov, a student of the Ufa Institute of Arts Kirill Belov and a graduate of the Ufa College of Arts Aigul Ahmetshina.

Of the 41 participants almost half were qualified for the second round (finals) — 18. In addition to the above mentioned singers, this is Anastasia Donets (Saint-Petersburg, Russia), Gleb Kim (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan), Alena Guz (Kharkov, Ukraine), Bazhbeuk- Sargis Melikyan (Yerevan, Armenia), Jaroslav Petryanik (Saint-Petersburg, Russia), Andrey Danilov (Irkutsk, Russia), Hamid Abdul (Baku, Azerbaijan), Regina Rustamova (Baku, Azerbaijan), Vera Pozolotina (Yekaterinburg, Russia) Aidos Zhabagin (Almaty, Kazakhstan), Arthur Gabdiev (Almaty, Kazakhstan), Victor Mendelev (Minsk, Belarus), Maria Zaikina (Saint-Petersburg, Russia), Dinar Dzhusoev (Kazan, Russia) and Oleg Budaratsky (Yekaterinburg, Russia).

As the portal "The Cultural World of Bashkortostan" informs, according to the results of first round the jury named the special prize holders. Among them, there is a soloist of the Bashkir State Philharmonic Society Damir Taipov. Special prizes will be also received by: Juan Jiang (Guilin, China), Anastasia Shcheglova (Moscow, Russia), Karan James Dalton (Hamilton, United States), Said Gobechia (Pitsunda, Abkhazia) and Julia Lozhevskaya (Saint-Petersburg, Russia).

The First International Chaliapin Vocal Competition was launched on September 20. The final round of the competition will take place with the orchestra at the stage of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet  Theatre on September 24. The winner's name will be announced at a gala concert on September 25.
