Bashkiria Universities were not included in Times Higher Education global rating

The British magazine Times Higher Education (THE) has published an annual rating of the world's universities, which included 978 institutions of higher education, RBC-Ufa reports . The rating included 24 Russian universities, of which the best position was taken by Moscow State University (188 line). Universities of Bashkortostan are not available in the rating. Earlier the Top 700 Round University Ranking (RUR), which is made by RUR Agency under the auspices of the Times Higher Education, included Ufa State Aviation Techincal University (USATU) with 570th position.
The Russia’s positions improved in the current THE rating: in the past year only 13 Russian universities were included in it. Thus the position of the Russian leader of the rating worsened: MSU took 161st line last year. It is followed by MIPT and St. Petersburg State University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics in the rating.
Out of 24 Russian educational institutions nine universities are in Moscow, three — in St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk, two — in Tomsk. In seven Russian cities more there are per one university. Among regions neighbouring Bashkortostan Kazan Federal University entered THE rating (position 401 — 500), Boris Yeltsin Ural Federal University (Ekaterinburg) and Samara State Aerospace University (both — the position 801+).
