UFA, 15 September 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. The number of international observers in Bashkortostan has increased to three. Denis Timokhin from the CIS Mission joined OSCE observers. He is an advisor at the Embassy branch of the Republic of Belarus in the Russian Federation in Ufa. The information was announced at a press conference by the Head of the Central Election Commission of Bashkortostan, Khaidar Valeev at Bashinform News Agency.
Two observers represent the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights under the OSCE. As part of the long-term observers mission there is a representative of the USA Marsha Weinerman and a delegate from Armenia Oganez Kazaryan. On the election day up to 10 groups of short-term observers will join them. Total, according to Oganez Kazaryan, about 18 international observers will work in the republic.
Khaidar Valeev said that "the exact number of international observers on the single voting day will become known on September 16, when short-term observers will go over regions". The results will be presented at a press briefing on September 19.
