Bashkiria occupies 10th place in Volga Federal District in grain yield

Bashkortostan occupies the 10th place in the Volga Federal District by the yield of grain crops and the second — by threshed areas. An average district yield was 20.3 centners per hectare, in Bashkortostan — 18.9.
Meanwhile, in Russia as a whole it is expected a record gross grain yield in the amount of 110-116 million tons. The average yield is 28 centners per hectare. This was reported at a meeting of the Government RB.
The republican leader in yield this year is Chekmagush district, where 30.5 centners of grain are harvested per hectare. Farmers of 16 districts of Bashkortostan received more than 20 centners per hectare. A good harvest of grain was gathered this year by farms of Khaibullino and Baimak districts. Only these two regions of the republic will replenish the common crop fund with about 300 thousand tons of grain.
According to the Minister of Agriculture RB Nikolay Kovalenko, the main crop areas in the region were harvested within one month, with an average output of about 50 thousand hectares per day.
To date, 98 percent of the areas are threshed. It is left to harvest a little more than 35 thousand hectares. 88 percent of the acreage are threshed on average in the Volga Federal District.
To date, 3.316 million tons of grain are harvested in the republic.
