Ploughman from Bashkiria will represent Russia at World Ploughing Contest in England

From 8 to 11 September the 63rd World Ploughing Contest will be held near the city of York in England. Russia in the contest is represented by the winner of the national championship 2015 and 2016 Vadim Zaretsky from Udmurtia and the medalist of 2015 Ildar Ishikaev – a ploughman from Bashkortostan.
The Russian ploughmen will compete with winners of national championships of Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, South Africa and several European countries. A total of 29 countries will take part in the world championship.
"Ploughmen from around the world arrived at the event in advance and immediately began training in the fields”, said the press officer of the Public Relations Directorate of JSC "Rosagroleasing" Elena Yashina.
The World Ploughing Organization was created in 1952. For the first time the plowing world championship was held in 1952 in Canada. The WPO includes 32 countries — Russia, the USA, Australia, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand, United Kingdom, France and others. In 2020 the Ploughing World Contest will be held in Russia.
