UFA, 5 September 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The Rosstat (Federal State Statistics Service) has prepared amendments to the law "On the All-Russia Population Census", according to which all Russians will be obliged to participate in the census. This was reported by RBC.
The Rosstat explains such an amendment to the law by its striving to create a legal basis for the optimal combination of interests of the state and citizens, as well as to improve the quality of information.
The Rosstat also offers to abandon the census anonymity. Russians will be required to report their passport details and SNILS — insurance individual account number. If a person refuses to provide the census data or will provide them in an incomplete form, he will face an administrative fine ranging from 100 to 300 rubles.
Russians will be able to take part in the All-Russia census through the Internet.
In the near future the law "On the All-Russia Population Census" will be considered by the Russian Government.
