Dangerous decrease in water level is registered in Bashkiria rivers

In the rivers of Bashkortostan there is a dangerous decrease in the water level. According to the Regional Office for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, this happens due to a long dry period, which was established in the region.
According to the Crisis Situations Control Centre of the Main Directorate of EMERCOM RF in the Republic Bashkortostan, on August 27 in the River Belaya near Birsk it is expected a dangerous phenomenon — low water. The water level there will be lower than five centimeters for 10 days or more. On the morning of 25 August, this figure was minus 13 cm over zero of gauge, which is 46 cm below the historical averages. The historical low of minus 46 cm was recorded from August 19 to 24, 2012.
Since August 17 a water level in the river Belaya in Ufa continues to decline — minus 138 cm. The historical low was recorded in September 2012 — minus 161 cm. The risky reduction level is observed at the river Ufa in Shaksha village (below 110 cm for 10 days and more).
The Ministry noted that the decrease in water levels in rivers in the coming week will continue.
As previously reported, in the republic on August 26 in the afternoon and evening thunderstorms, hail and squally wind between 21 and 26 m/s are expected. It is recommended not to use private vehicles without urgent need, park the cars away from trees and weakly fortified structures.
