During the first half it was managed to recover positive trends in agriculture and industry. The situation in the labour market slightly improved,” said Rustem Khamitov. “The inflation reduces and it promotes slow growth of population purchasing power. Although the effect of the last year's contraction in trade and services is still perceived, the rate of these indicators decline slowed down significantly.”
Tax and non-tax revenues of the consolidated budget increased by 12.6 percent in the first half. All social obligations were fully funded. A plan to increase salaries of the most categories of public sector employees was implemented.
The Head of the Republic marked positive tendencies in demographic indicators. The total mortality decreased by 6.4 percent. Earlier this year, for the first time the 70-year mark in life expectancy was overcome in the republic. Currently, the Republican Ministry of Health develops a program aimed at achieving the bar of 72 years.
“In terms of investments we look good in comparison with other regions and with national indexes. Relatively high rates are observed in the agricultural sector, generation and distribution of electricity, gas and water, mining, food production. The construction investment grew by 17 percent”, said Rustem Khamitov.
The Head of Bashkortostan said that the republic continued to strengthen its image as a leading congress area, a venue of major political, economic, scientific and cultural forums. In 2019 the 100th anniversary of the agreement signing between the Bashkir government and the Soviet government on the establishment of the country's first national autonomous republic will be marked. To this significant date a large-scale campaign "100 new facilities — to the 100th Bashkortostan anniversary" will be implemented in the region.
