UFA, 28 July 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. On August 3, Ufa will host a solemn unveiling of the "ArtTerria" modern sculpture alley. The event will take place in the pedestrian zone of Lenin Street near the Ahmed Zaki Validi National Library. The opening ceremony will be attended by special guests, representatives of the State Tretyakov Gallery and the Russian Museum, Bashkortostan Union of Artists. As part of the public program the famous "Yatagan" ethno band will give a performance for the residents and visitors of the city.
The "ArtTerria" modern sculpture alley is a result of the symposium of the same name, which takes place in Ufa from July 1 to August 1. The symposium is closed with an installation of 13 modern sculptures in the historic city centre united by one theme: "Russia. Eurasian Space: Civilization and Culture". 13 sculptors from six countries took part in the creation of the alley: John Gogaberishvilli and Valerian Jikia (Tbilisi, Georgia); creative duo Ange & Damanation (Paris, France); Kamen Tanev (Sofia, Bulgaria); So Dong Choi (Seoul, South Korea); Hitoshi Tanaka (Miyazaki, Japan), Nikolai Karlykhanov (St. Petersburg); Tahir Subkhankulov and Fakhraddin Rzayev (Moscow); Firdant Nuriakhmetov, Ruslan Nigmatullin and Vladimir Lobanov (Ufa). The symposium was held on the initiative of the Miras Art Gallery, supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan and Ufa administration.
