UFA, 21 July 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/.
Implementation of projects in the "Volga-Yangtze" format will boost living standards of the population in Bashkortostan. Along with the growth and recognition of the authority of the republic abroad, it can be a significant factor in socio-political support and legitimation of power. This was stated by the political analyst Nikolay Evdokimov.
Nikolay Yevdokimov stresses that cooperation with the Chinese regions means the potential investment attraction in our already developed industries and those which just start to operate. In addition, it will increase the tourist flow to the region, which will stimulate the development of tourist business. Enhancement of cultural, educational and scientific cooperation is also inevitable.
Yesterday cooperation between the VFD regions and upper regions of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River of China was discussed. The Plenipotentiary Envoy of the Russian President to the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich and the member of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Yang Jiechi talked about topical issues of trade-economic and humanitarian cooperation development. The total number of joint investment projects testifies to the effectiveness of the "Volga-Yangtze" format — now 69 projects are being elaborated by the regions on both sides. Also active cooperation in the humanitarian sphere is carried out, the press service of the Chief Federal Inspector in the Republic of Bashkortostan informs.
