Bashkiria universities became part of Russian and Chinese Universities Association

Bashkir State Pedagogical University named after M.Akmulla and Bashkir State University joined the Russian and Chinese Universities Association. The declaration on its establishment was signed during the Forum of Rectors of Russian and Chinese universities in the framework of the Sino-Russian Joint Commission on Humanitarian Cooperation. In addition, agreements have been signed between the specialized educational institutions of the two countries on cooperation in various spheres of activity and a long-term strategy of the Russian-Chinese scientific and educational cooperation has been defined. Among them there are: medical and technical sciences, linguistics, public administration, teacher training, agriculture and transport.
The event with the participation of the Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets, vice-premier of the State Council Liu Yandong, rectors of 90 Russian and 80 Chinese universities was held at M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University. Bashkortostan was represented by the Chairman of Rectors Council of Universities RB, Bashkortostan State Pedagogical University Rector Rail Asadullin and Bashkir State University Head Nikolai Morozkin.
Guests from China drew attention to the fact that education and science in their country was considered as one of the priorities of economic development. Therefore, universities receive a broad and multilateral support from the state. 18 percent of the budget funds are allocated only for the development of education and higher education in China. Higher education institutions are actively supported by industry representatives. The teaching staff is trained in leading universities of the world, joint research is conducted, academic exchanges are carried out.
Representatives of the Chinese side thanked the Russian colleagues for their help and support in the organization of the higher school of China. The two sides reached an agreement on cooperation. It is planned that by 2020 the number of academic exchanges will be up to 100 thousand bachelors, masters and PG students from each side. In connection with the increased interest in studying the Russian language Chinese experts appealed to the representatives of the Russian high schools to assist them in preparation of teachers, Bashkortostan State Pedagogical University reports.
