The team of children from Bashkortostan won eight medals at the World Winners Games. The annual large-scale forum was organized by the "Podari Zhizn" Foundation for children around the world who have had cancer. Competitions were held in Moscow.
Winners Games are not just the competition, the organizers say. It is a comprehensive rehabilitation program, which helps to overcome the barriers of communication and self-expression after a serious illness.
Within four days, 450 children from around the world between the ages of seven to 16 years competed in six sports disciplines: athletics, table tennis, swimming, mini-football, shooting and chess.
Bashkortostan has participated in the World Winners Games for the fourth time. Nine representatives of the republic won eight awards, with six of them — in futsal.
