Bashkortostan is in the lead of the "Spasibo Internetu 2016" Russian contest

Bashkortostan is one of three leaders of the All-Russian Contest "Spasibo Internetu 2016" (Thanks to the Internet), these are the interim results of the federal competition of pensioners personal achievements in the study of computer literacy.

A letter is received in the name of the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov, in which the organizers of the contest — the Pension Fund of Russia and the PJSC "Rostelecom" — thank the leadership of the republic for an active social position.

"Your region consistently demonstrates high activity — this year Bashkortostan is located in the top three. According to the results of the competition the regions the most actively working with pensioners in the subject of computer literacy are determined. This nomination is customer feedback for computer literacy", it is said in the letter.

Recall that the last year Bashkortostan entered the top 10 most active subjects of Russia participated in this competition.

This year the pensioners of the republic presented 20.5 percent of all applications submitted by participants from all over Russia. According to the latest data, works from 37 regions participate in the competition. The largest amount of works came from the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Voronezh, Rostov, Nizhny Novgorod regions.

According to the organizers, 90 percent of works are presented in the category "Internet — my Friend and Assistant", 3.5 percent — "Portal Gosuslugi.ru: a Simple Solution to a Complex Problem", 3.5 percent — in the category "Internet Entrepreneur", 2.6 percent — in the nomination "Internet-Ethnographer". 84 percent of competitors are women. The average age of the participants is a little more than 63 years. 55 percent have a university degree, 71.8 percent attended computer literacy courses.

The reception of works for the All-Russian competition "Spasibo Internetu 2016" continues. Citizens older than 50 years, having computer skills can send their works up to October 9. Summing up the results of the competition and awarding ceremony will be held from November 1 to 3.
