UFA, 14 June 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. More than 200 thousand rubles were collected at Ufa charity culinary festival. The event took place on the City Day at "Vatan" square near Congress Hall as part of the All-Russian charity marathon "Cult of Pilaf", which main task, in addition to promotion of oriental cuisine, was to support citizens in need, to raise funds for the treatment of children.
The culinary festival was attended by 15 teams, masters of cooking of one of the most popular oriental dishes. Among the participants of the competition were the trustee of Markhamat Foundation Gulshat Khamitova, the Minister of Youth and Sports of Bashkortostan Andrey Ivanyuta, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government RB Dmitry Sharonov, the Minister of Labour and Social Protection Lenara Ivanova, the Minister of Culture Amina Shafikova, director of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theatre Ilmar Almukhametov.
Their skills were evaluated by the guests and members of the jury — the famous Moscow concept chef, blogger and expert in oriental cuisine Hakim Ganiev, the head of Ufa administration Irek Yalalov, member of the Federation Council of the Republic of Bashkortostan Liliya Gumerova, the chief doctor of the Republican Cardiology Centre Irina Nikolaeva, blogger Rais Gabitov.
According to event coordinator Regina Shtyagina total 1503 portions of pilaf were sold for the sum of 225,450 rubles. All the raised money will be directed to the treatment paternalized by the Markhamat Charitable Foundation 11-year-old Julia Yuldybaeva with cerebral palsy and paternalized by the "Life Line" Charitable Foundation (Moscow), the eight-year old Seva Slyunin suffering from epilepsy.
