"ArtTerria" sculpture symposium will be held in Ufa for the first time

From July 1 to August 3, Ufa will host an international symposium on sculpture in stone - "ArtTerria". The topic of the symposium is "Russia. Eurasian Space: Civilization and Culture". 13 sculptors from six countries (France, Japan, Bulgaria, South Korea, Georgia and Russia) will participate in the event. During the symposium, each of them according to pre-approved designs will work on sculptures from Mansurov quarry granite. On July 8, an exhibition of small-scale sculpture will be opened at the "Miras" Art Gallery. On August 3, a solemn installation of sculptures in Lenin Street pedestrian zone and closing of the symposium will take place.
"The task of the symposium is to improve urban environment in Ufa with current town planning trends, to support the existing and develop new cultural traditions, to contribute to the art space of the city with works of art, to perfect aesthetic education of the population and form a new vision on the surrounding living space and to strengthen international contacts," the organizers explained.
A solemn unveiling of the sculpture alley will be attended by representatives of the State Tretyakov Gallery and the Russian Museum.
The event will be held at the initiative of the "Miras" Art Gallery with the support of specialists of the State Tretyakov Gallery and the Russian Museum, as well as the Ministry of Culture of Bashkortostan and Ufa administration.
