Chairman of the Federation Council Committee: "Preliminary voting passed without violations in Bashkortostan"

The Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy, Valery Ryazansky observed the preliminary voting in Bashkortostan on May 22.
"Huge preparations were made across the country”, said Valery Ryazansky. “I should ascertain that all procedures went without any violations. People exercise their right. I also mark that the interest in rural areas is higher than in cities".
Yesterday the United Russia party held intraparty voting procedure for the nomination of candidates for elections to the State Duma. In Bashkortostan 678 counting stations were open where every citizen could vote for registered candidates. They were 101 of them in the region.
According to preliminary results, the turnout in Bashkortostan amounted to 11.85 percent. In different regions completely different turnout for preliminary voting was recorded. In fact, the turnout for primaries is an indicator of the party’s credibility with the voters.
