Nation-wide master classes will be held as part of Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition in Ufa

In Ufa, in the framework of the 1st Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition nation-wide master classes will be held. Their organizer is Ufa State Institute of Arts. On 13 and 14 May, sessions with Nikita Borisoglebsky (Russia), Taras Gabora (Canada), Michael Kopelman (USA) and Boris Kushnir (Austria) will take place at the Chaliapin Concert Hall. Master classes will be held from 10.30 to 16.00. According to Ufa State Institute of Arts, it will be possible to watch and listen to the master classes of outstanding violinists of the international level free of charge.
The grant of the Head of Bashkortostan in the amount of 13.5 million rubles is allocated for the contest of violinists and All-Russian master classes. The competition will be held in the building of Ufa State Institute of Arts: the first round — on May 11, the second — on May 12. On May 14 the third round is planned, accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra of Bashkortostan with participation of the Russian National Philharmonic Orchestra soloists under the baton of Michael Geurts in "Bashkortostan" Concert Hall. On May 15 the competition will end with a gala concert at the same Hall.
