Bashkir Generating Company increased net profit by almost half in the first quarter

LLC "Bashkir Generating Company" received a net profit of 1.6 billion rubles in the first quarter against 1.1 billion rubles in January-March 2015. It is stated in the reports of the company.
The BGC's revenue increased by 15.5 percent and amounted to 12.7 billion rubles, operating expenses — by 4.7 percent to 10 billion rubles, and the profit from sales — by 87.4 percent to 2.7 billion rubles.
The main share of revenues (6.6 billion rubles) was derived from the electricity sale. It has grown by 16.6 percent compared to the same period of 2015. Proceeds from the power sale amounted to 1.4 billion rubles (+4 percent to January-March 2015). Proceeds from the heat energy sale (4.3 billion rubles) increased by 0.7 billion due to the indexation of tariffs for heat energy while decrease in net heat supply due to higher ambient temperatures.
Power stations of BGC for the first quarter of 2016 generated 5.7 billion kWh of electricity, which is 16.5 percent more than in January-March 2015. The heat supply amounted to 5746.7 thousand Gcal. The decline of 3.2 percent was due to warmer weather at the beginning of this year, it is said in the press release.
LLC "Bashkir Generating Company" is a major regional power company in Russia. The rated electric and heat capacity of LLC "BGC" is 4120 MW and 8642 Gcal/h. The authorized capital amounts to 24 billion rubles, wholly controlled by PSC "Inter RAO".
