UFA, 25 April 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/.
The International Forum "On the Second Track. Role of Civil Society and Public Diplomacy in Further Development and Expansion of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization" held in Sochi brought together representatives from 26 countries — eminent experts in international affairs, academics and public figures. It was initiated by the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation and the Institute of the CIS countries. The member of the Public Chamber of Russia and Bashkortostan Shamil Gantsev delivered a report at the forum. He became a member of the working group of the Public Chamber for the Eurasian integration, as well as for the development of the SCO and other institutions of international cooperation as a member of the Commission for Science and Education Development.
Shamil Gantsev elaborated on one of the forms of innovation — technological parks based on the "Skolkovo" model.
"I was made a proposal for the establishment of international technological parks of the SCO countries. The appearance of such innovation centres has two main objectives: to overcome the global scientific and practical problems and to address investment issues”, he said. “The Ufa Declaration of the SCO countries in 2015 provided for the development of innovative projects, therefore I regard offers of the Sochi forum as further development of this document".
As previously reported, the International Forum is held to exchange views between expert and scientific community of Russia, China, India, Pakistan, Central Asia and other countries regarding the Shanghai Cooperation Organization development in order to strengthen regional security and solve the most complex socio-economic problems.
