Ufa pianist won first prize at international competition in Paris


UFA, 21 April 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. In Paris the 16th International Piano Competition ended, organized by the Russian Conservatory named after A. Scriabin. The first place was won by Elena Kolesnikova, the pianist from Ufa, 8th grader of the Special Music College.

The young pianist performed a complicated program, which included a sketch-picture by Rachmaninoff, Three Argentine Dances by A. Ginastera, part I of sonata No.16 by Beethoven. The trip took place with the help of Markhamat charitable and educational foundation.

Elena studies music since the age of six. In 2011 she entered the college, the class of the honoured worker of culture of Bashkortostan Liliya Valyamova. She is the winner of numerous competitions and festivals, the scholarship holder of Vladimir Spivakov Foundation.

The chairman of the jury — Eugene Indzhich (France), Honourary President Nikolai Demidenko, among the members of the jury there are pianists of France and Germany. The president — founder of the competition -  Igor Lazko. Musicians from France, Russia, Latvia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Chile, Uzbekistan and other countries took part in the musical competition.
