Agreement on minimum wage is signed in Bashkortostan

On April 20, an agreement on the minimum wage in Bashkortostan was signed by the representatives of the Republican Tripartite Commission on Regulation of Social and Labour Relations. The document was signed by Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov, the President of the Federation of Trade Unions RB Marat Khusainov and the Chairman of Bashkortostan Union of Employers Vladimir Sholom.
The agreement provides for raising the minimum wage in Bashkortostan from 6900 rubles to 8900 rubles (for employees of extra-budgetary sector of the economy since May 1, 2016) and 7500 rubles (for employees of the budgetary sector of the economy since July 1, 2016).
The Head of the Republic noted that this decision should not affect the competitiveness of the regional businesses.
“We are not going to undermine a competitiveness of small businesses. But we are obliged to protect the interests of employees, those who work directly for the enterprises, manufactures. We will do this,” Rustem Khamitov underlined.
