Temperature record is set in Bashkiria

In Bashkortostan, a temperature record is set. In the afternoon of April 16, the Ufa Deoma weather station registered an absolute maximum temperature record, the Bashkir Met Office reports. The air warmed up to 24.3 degrees Celsius (to 23.5 in 1995). At the Ufa-Airport weather station the maximum temperature reached 24.5 degrees on Saturday, at the post of Ufa weather station (Sorge Street, 25/2.) — 24.6 degrees.
On the past weekends it was observed abnormally hot weather in excess of average daily temperatures by 12-15 degrees in the republic. Such average daily temperatures are more typical for the first summer month than for April. The temperature rose to + 20-25 degrees across the republic. This increase was due to subtropical heat brought from the southern latitudes. In the coming days the temperature will gradually decrease.
