Bashkortostan holds talks with the leadership of the Republic of Crimea on providing for use of one of the medical and health institutions in the peninsula. This was announced by the Head of the Region Rustem Khamitov answering questions of the deputies of the State Assembly — Kurultai of the Republic.
“We hope that either at the end of this year or the next summer season, we will have our own medical and health centre in Crimea. It will be republican one where primarily our children and veterans will recover. It will be not intended for moneybags, but for those who cannot afford other forms of recreation.”
Earlier, presenting the report on the activities of the Government, the Head of Bashkortostan said that last year more than 173 million rubles had been allocated to assist the sponsored Belogorsk region of Crimea.
“26 kindergartens, schools and cultural objects were repaired. Memorial complexes were restored by Victory Day. 30 electric generators were delivered during the energy blockade of the peninsula,” said the Head of the Region. “The agricultural equipment sent by us contributes greatly to the timely harvesting. We have close contacts in culture and youth policy affairs. It is important to further strengthen this cooperation.”
