UFA, 2 March 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Arthur Basyrov/. Experts of the Momondo tourism metasearch made Top 8 features of Russian female tourists on the eve of International Women's Day. The results were obtained during the study, in which 29 thousand people from 20 countries took part.
It was found that female travelers from Russia are family oriented, notable for their foresight, thrift, progressive views, sociability and tolerance to the shortcomings of service. They choose proven holiday destinations and like to buy sweets and souvenirs.
For example, 71 percent of Russians prefer to plan ahead a budget for the trip and to book tickets to the holiday. About 52 percent of Russian women prefer to have rest with their children. About 44 percent of travelers prefer to spend less for car rentals, 47 percent — for shopping and 50 percent — for evening entertainments. About 34 percent of Russian women make new posts on social networks — Facebook, Twitter, Instagram directly during the holidays. High level of service is of great importance only for a quarter of Russian travelers when choosing a hotel. The rest pay more attention on price, location, adjacencies and other details, and poor service can spoil the impression of the holiday, to only 13 percent of women. 83 percent of the Russian tourists bring souvenirs to friends and relatives and 40 percent — various sweets from their trips.
